The Secret Art of Monkey BusinessWhat’s new with this Canadian Magician?

Well I have not blooged in a while, so I thought I better get back to the old keyboard. The good news for all my clients (old and new) is that I am back from a successful trip to the UK! I had a great time lecturing for magicians all over England and had a sell out of my products and DVD’s.

Mentioning DVD’s. Great news for magicians worldwide! I have 2 new DVD releases about to hit the magic market mid May.

The Secret Art of Monkey Business” & “Color Blind” are two brand new magic DVD’s from yours truly that will be sold to magic stores worldwide. I am proud to say that both of these brand new products are manufactured in Canada and they are going to be FANTASTIC! I know I am a little bias as they are my products, but joking aside, I have put so much work into these new magic products and I am very proud to be introducing them to magicians in Canada, the Color BlindUnited States and everywhere else for the matter. These latest two creations will be set for worldwide release through my exclusive wholesaler in California, Murphy’s Magic Supplies. It gives me great pleasure to go into my 4th successful year with Murphy’s Magic Supplies, as my exclusive wholesaler. Thanks again to Tim Trono and all the staff at Murphy’s for your continued support.

Other good news. I have been invited back to perform at the Whistler Children’s Festival in Canada and will be appearing at Whistler Creekside on Saturday the 12th of July and Sunday the 13th of July 2008. My performances will be throughout each day between the hours of 10am and 4pm. Thanks again to Traci Despatis and all her crew at the Whistler Arts Council for inviting me back. Can’t wait for another GREAT year!

I am also happy to be involved with a blog by my good friend (and talented Magician) Paul Romhany. Paul was asked to do a weekly blog at www.hocus-pocus.com and for the past 3 or 4 weeks I have been one of the featured guests in his blog, probably because I keep sending him stuff so he has no choice (I guess). Joking aside though, it’s a great blog and a wealth of information if you are interested in magic. Check out Paul’s blog here www.romhanyreport.blogspot.com and tell him Matthew sent you.

Well that’s it for this blog. I am going to try and write more often so stay tuned. By the way I have lots of exciting changes planned for www.magicshow2go.com so keep an eye on this site over the next couple of months.
Cheers,

Matthew

Halloween Magic in North Vancouver

tagged , , , , , , , and

Here at the home of Vancouver’s #1 choice in Magic & Entertainment carriage.jpgwe are very excited to let visitors know all about the scariest Haunted House in Vancouver.

At this time of year (every year) 1920 Casano Drive in Lynn valley is the home of the Scariest Haunted House in the Lower Mainland as voted by CTV in 2006.

My good friends Justin & Cheryl Kyllo have been putting together this incredible display for about 7 years and every year it gets bigger and bigger. The main feature of the Halloween display is the Haunted House. The Mausoleum is not for the faint of heart though. It is staffed by about 6 actors playing the parts of ghouls and ghosts and contains scary tricks and surprises at every turn.

This year I will be a part of the Mausoleum performing a rather gruesome Magic Illusion that is guaranteed to send chills down your spine. Please be warned that although the haunting is less scary for children it is very scary for adults.

the best haunted house for halloween in vancouverThe Halloween display is available for viewing between now and October 31st, however the Haunted House is only open to the public on the following dates and times:

Friday the 26th of October - 6:30pm to 10:30pm

Saturday the 27th of October - 6:30pm to 10:30pm

Sunday the 28th of October - 6:30pm to 10:30pm

Tuesday the 30th of October - 6:30pm to 10:30pm

Wednesday (Halloween) the 31st of October - 6:30pm to 10:30pm

I suggest coming early as at peak times you can expect to wait up to 1 hour for entry into the Haunted House.

Justin & Cheryl also collect non perishable food items for charity, in turn this will allow you access to the Haunted House so please bring a food donation with you.

Look for me, my scary Magic Trick and all of the other ghouls and ghosts if you dare!

We will see you there!
